The Office of Parent & Family Services held its inaugural Family Weekend during the weekend of October 7 – 9, 2016.  The weekend was a great success with over 900 students and family members coming together to visit and celebrate. From academic open houses to student theatre showcases, to athletic events and opportunities to get out and explore the city, there was something for everyone to take part in during the weekend. 

The culminating event was the GIANT picnic on the campus green where family members were able to hear from UAB’s President, Dr. Ray Watts, as well as from both the football and basketball head coaches, Bill Clark and Robert Ehsan.
