Disability Support Services recently welcomed Justin Quinn, their new assistive technology specialist.

Justin received his B.A in journalism from Delta State University in Cleveland, Miss. While pursuing his degree at DSU, he worked on the student newspaper “The Delta Statement” as well as freelanced for local newspapers, covering many events including local sports. He occupied many roles on the newspaper staff starting as a news writer and eventually working his way up to editor-in-chief.

After graduation, he and his wife moved to Birmingham where he began working for Best Buy’s Geek Squad. There, he gained valuable experience with the most current technology and honed his skills working to meet the technological needs of a vast and varied clientele.

Justin enjoys having the opportunity to interact with a variety of people with unique needs, and finds great satisfaction in sharing the many ways of using technology to enhance their daily lives.
