Bethany Tolar is one of UAB’s newest faces, serving as the Coordinator of Reservations and Special Events. Bethany is responsible for scheduling the Campus Recreation Center, Campus Green, and West Campus Fields. She also is responsible for planning and coordinating all special events hosted by UAB Campus Recreation. Some of these events include monthly Open Rec Nights, the Blazer Welcome event, Homecoming 5K, annual Health Fair, and many more! With this position being brand new, Bethany hopes to make it grow and exceed expectations. She hopes to bring fun, fresh and new events/activities for the students to enjoy and aid in their overall development.

Bethany was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. She grew up playing and watching sports, which she still loves to do. She graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas where she earned a B.A. in Communication and a Master’s degree in Sport Management. After graduation, she wanted to continue working in campus recreation and found her new home here at UAB. Bethany is excited to be part of the Blazer family!
