Student Affairs professionals participated in the 2016 Alabama NASPA Drive-In Conference. The conference was held on January 22, on the campus of Auburn University at Montgomery. Student Affairs professionals from across Alabama came together to explore the conference theme "Common Purpose: Leadership, Collaboration and Innovation."
UABSeveral UAB staff received awards at the conference and nine of the UAB staff attending presented programs at the drive-in conference. In addition, Cara Dawn Jones, Director of Student Involvement and Leadership, co-chaired the New Student Affairs Educators Institute, which occurs the day prior to the drive-in conference.
Quang Do, Coordinator of Student Activities, received the Spirit of Diversity Award
Jennifer Griffin, Assistant Director for Residence Life, received the Outstanding Contribution to Student Programs Award
Erica Lewis, Graduate Assistant for Residence Life, received the Future Leader Award
UAB Student Affairs staff enjoyed the opportunity to meet Dr. Charles Nash, the Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs for the University of Alabama system. He is pictured here with some of the UAB team.
