The Office of Student Involvement and Leadership recently hosted its 14th annual Student Excellence 
Awards via a virtual announcement. The awards program was designed to celebrate the accomplishments of students, staff and organizations within the UAB community. It was co-hosted by Tyler Huang, the 2020-21 USGA president, and Miss UAB 2020 Tiffany Millan. Winners were selected by a panel of judges organized from various University departments.
Award categories and recipients were as follows:

· Graduate Outstanding Academic Achievement | Terence Penn
· Inclusive Campus Commitment | Maysa Mohmoud

· Supervisor of the Year | Kyle Bivens, Student Housing and Residence Life
· Student Employee of the Year | Laura Jane Stallo and Haifa Al Harrasi

· Outstanding Student Leader | Levi Parker
· Program of the Year | Connect Fest, hosted by the Blazer Spirit Council & UAB Pathfinders
· Commitment to Community Engagement | UAB Ambassadors
· Outstanding Community Service Project | Girls in Science Engineering Day, hosted by the Society for Women Engineers
· Outstanding New Organization | Transfer Student Organization
· Outstanding Student Organization | Active Minds Chapter at UAB
