UAB Student Involvement and Leadership is proud to present A Night in the Magic City: The Miss UAB Scholarship Pageant 2017. The pageant will take place on Friday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. in Ballroom CD of the Hill Student Center. Admission is free for all UAB students and staff with a One Card; general admission is $10 at the door. What has evolved into a rich campus tradition, Miss UAB serves as a means to showcase the talents and accomplishments of the past, present and future of the university.

The Miss UAB Pageant is a wonderful opportunity for young women who wish to grow personally, further their educational goals through scholarship and represent the University at a broader level. Since 1983, the event has been the official preliminary for students who aspire to compete in the Miss Alabama and Miss America pageants. Contestants who win and place as alternates are awarded a grand total of $4,600 in scholarships. They also gain valuable experiences, including transformative opportunities to enhance their interview skills, network and showcase their talents, poise and confidence before the city.
