Fresh Market

by Dylan Fisher

Join UAB Campus Dining for the Fresh Market! “This is more than a market; it’s a commitment to fostering health and community through fresh options right here on campus,” said Justin Marshall, marketing director of UAB Campus Dining. UAB is a Health Promoting University (HPU) dedicated to the wellbeing of its campus and surrounding communities, and the Fresh Market is one of the many ways the university achieves that objective.

Students, faculty, staff, and members of the general public are encouraged to grab their handy, reusable bags to purchase fresh, nutritious, and accessible produce on the Campus Green. Connect with peers by enjoying arts and crafts and even build a personalized flower bouquet with the Wild Honey Flower Truck.

The Fresh Market is Tuesday, Sept. 12, from 11 a.m. -2 p.m.; vendors will accept Blazerbucks, Dining Dollars, Dragon Cash and credit cards. “We look forward to seeing you at the Fresh Market! Together, let’s promote a healthier, more connected campus community,” Justin added.

As an HPU, UAB aims to include health in all aspects of campus and community culture. Health and wellbeing on UAB’s campus are supported through events like the Fresh Market, which helps promote the wellness of students and community members.
