UAB Wellness Promotion invites students to share their perspectives, emotions, and experiences with sexual violence through Creativity for a Cause.

This art competition is open to all performing arts including poetry, spoken word, dramatic interpretation, skit, song, monologue, dance, film, drawing, painting, sculpture, and more! To learn more about the competition and how to submit, view the submission guidelines.

The deadline for entries is February 19, 2024. The winners will receive prizes and have their work displayed at Wellness Promotion’s annual event, Take Back the Night.

Take Back the Night is an internationally recognized event that empowers survivors of sexual violence and brings awareness about interpersonal violence to college campuses.

Wellness Promotion provides a safe and inclusive space for survivors of sexual assault, and with Creativity for a Cause, survivors can openly share their experience and feelings. All artists can remain anonymous.
