If you’re a new or returning UAB student, mark your calendars for the 2017 Student Involvement Fair! The big day takes place on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on the campus green. Free BBQ will be available and more than 1,100 students are anticipated to attend!
Hosted by Student Involvement and Leadership, this annual event offers students a chance to discover more about life at UAB and beyond the classroom. For one day, more than 100 student organizations, fraternities and sororities and campus departments will have stations on the campus green, each equipped with tables, cool information, free swag and representatives to answer students’ most pressing questions about campus life.
“This event really engages and connects students with involvement opportunities during one of the most crucial phases of their college experience,” said Jennifer Smith, director of Student Involvement and Leadership. “The Student Involvement Fair allows both new and returning Blazers to figure out where they ‘fit’ at UAB, an opportunity that ultimately helps them to feel a part of a larger community.”
