UAB Student Counseling Services (SCS) is here to offer Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) training that aims to teach a person how to recognize and assist someone experiencing a mental health crisis. Attendees will learn about campus resources and suicide warning signs, including verbal, situational, and behavioral cues. After completing the training session, attendees will receive a certificate and credit toward their UAB Mental Health Advocate badge.

Additionally, SCS will offer an all-day Mental Health First Aid training on Saturday, March 23 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Student Health & Wellness Center in room 390B. Lunch will be provided, and registration on Engage closes on March 19th.
