UAB’s very own Timothy (“Tim”) Alexander will be the guest speaker at this semester’s final Lecture Series event hosted by UAB Student Involvement and Leadership on Monday, March 27 at 7 p.m. An honorary UAB football player, community leader and champion for special needs, Tim will be sharing his inspiring story and giving students advice on self-discovery. Doors will open in the Hill Student Center Ballroom CD at 6:30 p.m.
This event is free and open to the public.
Tim Alexander, UAB Alum and former Gang Green president, has inspired those who have followed his journey. Tim became disabled after a car accident in October 2006. He was left paralyzed from the waist down and remained in a wheelchair, unable to stand or walk for ten years. Last year, Tim shocked everyone when he stood for the first time since his accident. With a passion for sports and leadership, he has taken what he’s learned from his own experience to become a motivational speaker and galvanizing force in support UAB Blazers.
