Due to the recent weather conditions and lack of rain, Jefferson County has issued a Burn Ban. Student Involvement and Leadership has been in communication with Occupational Health & Safety and the Birmingham City Fire Marshall and has been told that they will not be permitted to host the annual bonfire.

The Fight Song Competition tomorrow (Thursday, Oct. 20) night at 9:30 p.m. is still scheduled to happen in the Mini Park. Only the bonfire has been cancelled. The rain location for the fight song competition will be the Hill Student Center Ballroom D. Student Involvement and Leadership will send out communication if the event is going to be moved to the rain location.
