UAB hopes to awaken the superhero spirit within each and every Blazer – both on campus and beyond – as part of Homecoming 2017. Charge those powers, grab your capes and say hello to this year’s exciting theme, “Blazers United!”
Each year, Homecoming Week brings together undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff and alumni, as well as the medical community to embrace and celebrate their Blazer pride. Hosted by the Student Homecoming Committee, National Alumni Society and partnering organizations and departments, the 2017 Homecoming Week will be jam-packed with events that cater to both the campus and surrounding community. The week of excitement culminates with the highly-anticipated football standoff between the UAB Blazers and Louisiana Tech University Bulldogs on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 at Legion Field.
“Homecoming Week is always a time where the campus is teeming with institutional pride. With the return of UAB football, we expect this celebration to be the biggest and best yet,” said Jessica Brown, coordinator of student activities. “Another really awesome feature we look forward to unveiling is the Homecoming T-shirt designs. Blazer tees are always a hot commodity, so matched with the unique superhero theme, these shirts will make for timeless keepsakes.”
Blazers United T-shirts will be on sale for $15 each in the UAB Bookstore.
