Dear Students,
At UAB we are dedicated to giving you the tools you need to be a successful student and community member, both here and beyond. This year, UAB has partnered with EVERFI, whose mission is to help college students address critical life skills such as how to prevent alcohol abuse and sexual assault.
All incoming (first semester) registered UAB students are required to complete the EVERFI courses provided for Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates and AlcoholEDU. These lessons will help you:
- Develop critical skills to make thoughtful and healthy choices outside of the classroom;
- Reflect on your knowledge, attitudes, and experiences related to these issues; and
- Support your peers and yourself when faced with tough situations.
Incoming undergraduate students can learn how to access both courses by clicking here. If the training remains incomplete by the October 1 deadline, a registration hold will be placed on your student account. The hold will be removed, within 72-hours, once you have completed the course training.
Thank you for your support in maintaining and building a safe, supportive community at UAB! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact preventioncourses@uab.edu.
