We are so excited and proud to announce that the Campus Recreation Center will reopen on August 17, 2020, following the UAB University Recreation Re-entry Plan with modified: hours of operations, facility spaces, and updated policies and procedures. 

UAB University Recreation’s priority is to open the facility in a way that puts the health and safety of our staff and members as the main focus in the re-entry process. Please be sure to read and familiarize yourself with the UAB University Recreation Re-entry Plan below, in its entirety. It provides important information and explains the changes and updates in our policies and procedures in response to COVID-19. All policies and procedures will be strictly enforced. The URec team is committed to providing you with quality and inclusive spaces and programs while minimizing the risk of exposure.  

In order for our team to safely serve everyone, we ask YOU to follow the updated UAB University Recreation Code of Conduct while in the facility. Only TOGETHER we can reduce the spread of COVID-19 and remain open. The UAB University Recreation Re-entry Plan follows the UAB Guide to Re-entry, takes into account CDC recommendations, and complies with state and local guidelines and recommendations. 

Due to the nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, rules and regulations are constantly changing. We recommend that you continue to monitor the UAB University Recreation Re-entry Plan daily for updates.
