On Tuesday, November 8, UAB Veteran Services hosted this semester’s Green Zone Training to increase the support network for UAB’s military veterans, service members and their family members. As part of this training, UAB faculty and staff learn about the experiences of service members and veterans and the obstacles they face when balancing military life, school and the adjustment to civilian life. 

Walter C. Stewart III, Director of Veteran Services, emphasized that, “the intent behind these trainings are not to bring sympathy for these students, but to create transparancy around their experiences and needs.”
