Blazer Kitchen at Hill Student Center is an invaluable resource for any UAB student experiencing food insecurity, or financial need. Debbie Morgette, Assistant Director of UAB Student Assistance & Support stated “Blazer Kitchen at the Hill Student Center provides meals, programs, and more for over 2,000 students every semester. We thank our community partners as well as individuals who continue to help our department fuel its mission of support students.””
Blazer Kitchen receives food via the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama and UAB Campus Dining, as well as donation items from community members. Keeping this resource stocked throughout the year not only supports students in the UAB community, but shows the solidarity here between students, staff, and organizations.
