The University of Alabama at Birmingham is thrilled to announce the grand opening celebration of the Hill Student Center on Wednesday, Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. All students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to attend this free event at 1400 University Blvd.

There will be a ceremonial ribbon cutting followed by a guided tour through the new 164,000 square-foot student center as well as a reception. Explore the new space, and be among the first to view the expansive ballroom and state-of-the-art office and meeting rooms. Enjoy free samples of food and beverages from Mein Bowl, Full Moon BBQ, Panera Bread Company and Starbucks. Several activities are planned, and there will be a photo booth, music and giveaways.
