Spring 2020 has proved to be a very unique semester with challenges unlike any other experienced by UAB students before. COVID-19 has led to school closures, online learning alternatives, virtual graduations and even a statewide shelter-in-place order that further limits contact with the outside world.
In the midst of all of this, Student Counseling Services has created a full week of events aimed at helping students de-stress, have fun and take their minds off of things for a while. Each of the Stress Less Week events listed below will be held at 7 p.m. on Zoom and are sure to help students Stress Less!
Monday: Mindful Monday
Join SCS for a mindfulness activity to kick off Stress Less Week.
Tuesday: Paint and Play
Send in your best adult coloring pages and join a fun and unpredictable trivia tournament! Coloring pages will be sent to Sips and Strokes for their Color for a Cause Initiative.
Wednesday: Blazer Cafe
Virtual open mic night the Blazer way! Want to perform? DM @uabupb for more information.
Friday: Blaze Radio Showcase
Kick back with the Blaze Radio DJs as they duke it out over the student-selected theme!

You can also join the Mental Health Ambassadors this week for virtual yoga, guided meditations, arts and mental health events and more! The Promoters of Wellness (POW) will also host a virtual emPOWer Hour this Friday from 11 a.m. to noon!
