- Video content is utilized for a large audience (campus-wide videos or media content for an event)
- Video content is utilized for long-term viewership (designed to be used in an online course for several semesters/years)
Students, faculty and staff can submit a DSS Captioning and Transcript Request form to have professional captions added to university-related content. Submitting a form is easy, only a couple steps!

- Fill out the request form with all necessary information, including what service your request is for, type of service requested, and the course number or associated event name.
- Answer if your request is an accommodation, or a legally obligated requirement. A list of legally obligated requirements can be found on the Disability Support Services Commitment to Caption webpage. .
- Provide the title or URL of the media needing transcription. Files without a URL should be shared with dss@uab.edu via the UAB Box invite collaborators function.
