Tuesday, October 16, marked the third day of UAB’s Homecoming 2018 festivities and the cheer continued to spread throughout campus. Students and faculty have been showing their UAB spirit through music and decorations.

The school band played multiple sets on the steps of Heritage Hall with Blaze the Dragon close by rocking to the beat. There was also a performance by UAB’s gospel choir in the Hill Center around the same time this afternoon.

The façade of UAB has been extra green this week. Students and faculty show off their decorative skills as various parts of campus have been decorated with UAB-themed art representing what the university stands for.

The School of Education and the School of Engineering united in a foot-tapping chant outside of Sterne Library in front of the window art they created.

Kyndle Huey, Communications and Marketing Manager at the School of Education, said she is confident in the student body’s team spirit this homecoming season.

“We’ve got a lot of spirit,” Huey said. “I think school spirit is good. I’m excited that football is doing as well as it is and I think homecoming is going to be a really fun week.”
