Artist's rendering of new UAB intramural fields.The groundbreaking ceremony for the new UAB Intramural Fields will be held 9:00am October 12, 2017 at the Express 2 parking lot at 1101 Fifth Ave. South, across 12th Street from the 501 Building.

UAB offers many intramural sports, from flag football, to dodgeball, to racquetball and floor hockey, designed to accommodate any age, gender, handicap, skill level or past experience. The Board of Trustees approved a $3 million budget to build the new facilities, which are scheduled to be completed by spring 2018 and open for play in fall of that year.
