UAB Victim’s Advocacy

Located within Student Advocacy Rights and Conduct (SARC). Confidential services are available for victims of interpersonal violence, including information on reporting options, safety planning, self-care, and connections to campus and community resources.

Title IX Office

The Title IX Office works with students, University administration, departments, faculty, staff, campus police, and other support services to ensure that University policies and programs foster a campus community free of illegal gender discrimination and from all forms of violence, including sexual misconduct, examples of which can include acts of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking

The Crisis Center

The Crisis Center offers a variety of services for victims of sexual assault including: free and confidential crisis counseling; Prevention education programs to schools; Services for victim’s family, friends, partners or spouses; and information and referrals to other services in your area.

The Birmingham YWCA

The YWCA is on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women, stand up for social justice, help families, and strengthen communities. The YWCA offers services for victims of domestic violence, including a confidential shelter for victims; court advocacy; community outreach; and support groups for victims of domestic violence.
