The UAB Green Office Program works to reduce energy consumption and waste production by helping staff and faculty identify areas of opportunity around the office. The Green Office Program is a key component of UAB’s Sustainability Strategic Plan. Participation in this voluntary program helps achieve institutional sustainability goals by organically developing a culture of stewardship of resources and community at UAB.
How to Participate
Participating in the Green Office Program is simple!
- Select a primary person for your office’s efforts to achieve and maintain UAB Green Office status.
- Work with colleagues to complete the Green Office Certification online survey
Once you have submitted the Green Office survey, the Green Office coordinator will visit your office to discuss your survey. Your feedback on the survey will help UAB Sustainability understand barriers to and opportunities for increased sustainability in offices. Your office will achieve a certification based on your survey response, and you will be given decals and electronic versions of your certification to share your status!
