As part of UAB’s 50th anniversary celebration, there are limited quantities of pre-paid t-shirts, lapel pins, and stickers that can be requested for large institutional events. These events should have a wide-reach and should tie into the 50th anniversary. To request promo items, use the form below, and someone from our team will reach out to you.
Lapel Pin
300 lapel pins will be distributed to each college, school, and VP level unit as well as National Alumni Society, Faculty Senate, and Staff Council. If you would like to request lapel pins, please check with your Dean or VP-level office first, if they do not have any available, you may request lapel pins using the form below.

When using the 50th anniversary mark on apparel and promotional items, it is preferred that it be paired with the core UAB logo where possible. Because UAB is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2019, only easy-to-remove magnets may be ordered from UAB Priniting & Mailing for use on UAB vehicles.
To celebrate our 50th anniversary as an institution, UAB has commissioned a custom, 3D prop that will travel the campus and beyond throughout 2019. The 50th prop adds a festive element to our anniversary events and serves as a great photo opportunity! If you’d like to reserve the 50th prop for your UAB event, please review additional details below and submit a request at least two weeks in advance.
About the 50th Prop
The 50th prop is made of two wooden pieces, each weighing about 150 lbs. The two pieces were designed to fit through most standard doorways. When fully assembled, the prop stands at 7’ x 7’. To prevent damage, the prop should remain away from rain and water. Plan to display the prop either indoors or underneath a covered awning. Moving, assembly, and disassembly of the prop must be managed by a professional mover. UAB’s preferred mover charges a flat rate of $250 roundtrip for an on-campus move or $500 roundtrip for an off-campus move; and the college or unit placing the reservation will be responsible for all moving expenses. In the event UAB’s preferred mover is unavailable for your dates, an alternate mover will be hired and rates may vary. You can expect about 30 minutes for move-in and assembly, and another 30 minutes for disassembly and move-out. Please first ensure you have adequate space to accommodate the prop before making a reservation. Once assembled and in place for display, the prop must never be moved as one piece.
