There are several map services that serve up information about the UAB campus: Google Maps, Apple Maps, and UAB’s internally maintained Campus Map. Google and Apple maps are maintained by 3rd party companies, and UAB’s controll of the information is limited.

The best way to insure correct information across all map platforms is for the UAB community to suggest edits when they see wrong information. Below is information on how to report inaccurate or incorrect information on the various map platforms.

UAB Campus Map

The Office of Marketing and Communication's Web Services team created and maintains the UAB Campus Map website. Please submit a ticket to our Web team at go.uab.edu/websupport to inform us of any updates needed for the Campus Map.

Google Maps

If you’re familiar with a place, you can provide feedback that helps Google Maps decide whether to change a place's information. Before you submit an edit about a place, make sure you’re signed in to your Google Account.

Change a place's business hours

1. Open Google Maps.
2. Search for a place or select it on the map.
3. To display the business’s hours: Select the Overview tab. Scroll to Hours, and select the Down arrow.
4. Select Suggest an edit.
5. Choose from the following:
   • If business hours are incorrect: Next to the hours you want to change, select Edit.
   • If some or all business hours are missing: At the bottom, select Edit hours.
     • If a place has additional open or closed hours, like a lunch break in the middle of the day, select Add hours to fill in the details.
6. Complete your edits, and select Save.

Change a place's name, location, or other details

1. Open Google Maps Maps.
2. Search for a place or select it on the map.
3. Select Suggest an edit and then Change name or other details.
4. To submit your feedback, follow the on-screen instructions.

Apple Maps

1. Open the Maps app.
2. Click on a place's name.
3. Tap the three-dot menu next to the right of the location name.
4. Scroll down and click Report an Issue.
5. Choose what you want to change, such as the location, phone number, or opening hours.
6. Click Submit.
