At UAB, we build vital skills through theatremaking, rehearse ways to show up in the world, and practice theatrical storytelling as a powerful force for human well-being and community engagement.
We train future artists for work in the entertainment industry--and beyond. Artists with:

Jereme Lewis
Jereme Lewis knew from an early age that he wanted a life in the theatre. In the UAB Department of Theatre he rose quickly to the challenge of stage managing complex shows. Now he's doing it on Broadway. Read about his remarkable journey.
