Stress Less Fest: Join your fellow graduate students and postdoctoral fellows at this new addition to Stress Less Week.
The Graduate School has partnered with GROW at UAB and the Graduate Student Government to offer this fun, relaxing and educational event aimed at destressing with Physical Activity, Personal Growth, and Recreation and Leisure.
Stress Less Fest is part of the UAB's Stress Less Week. It is open to all graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Registration is required for the workshops and movement classes. Individually wrapped snacks will be available throughout the day. See below for full schedule and registration information.

Nutrition Sciences Graduate student Rachel Knight will present "Eating Healthy on the Go, and on a Budget" during this one-hour workshop. Learn how to eat healthy without breaking the bank.

Behavioral Neuroscience Assistant Professor Christianne Strang PhD, ATR-BC, CEDCAT-S, will present "Using Creativity for Wellness." She will discuss art therapy and the creative arts therapies professions and assist participants in accessing their own creativity for use in maintaining health and well-being.

Music Professor Dr. Kristine Hurst-Wajszczuk, a Certified Koru Meditation Teacher, will present “Mindfulness for Stress Management and Joyful Living.” Feeling stressed as we approach the end of the semester? Many recent studies have shown that the practice of meditation has many physiological and psychological benefits. Join us for a workshop on Koru meditation, which was developed especially for young adults.
