Peer education is a peer-driven educational service where specialty trained UAB students provide educational materials and resources for students, clubs, and organizations. Our peer health educators, the Promoters of Wellness (POW), are active on campus providing fun interactive activities, having meaningful conversations, and positively influencing the campus culture.

Students who take the course will not only become a Nationally Certified Peer Educator but are eligible to apply for a paid campus position as a peer health educator with Wellness Promotion.
