I am passionate about...Showing others why I love UAB, my relationship with God, helping others
I chose UAB because...UAB has a lot of great things going for it. A main reason is because they are very generous with scholarships. UAB has the most bang for your buck, and you can get a valuable college experience at an affordable price! Also, the diversity here was able to push me out of my comfort zone and meet people from all over the state, country, and globe!
Favorite UAB tradition? My favorite tradition is the homecoming parade! The whole student body (and nearby faculty) gather around campus and celebrate homecoming!
Best class you have taken at UAB?Definitely Engineering Graphics (ME102) with Professor Lisenbee. It was such a fun class during my first semester of freshman year, and I met some of my best friends in there!
Favorite UAB memory? The first football game of the season, me and a few of my friends were able to get on the jumbotron in front of the whole stadium! And we won too!
Best thing you've ate in Birmingham?I went to a food truck festival recently and tried some authentic Mexican desserts. They were some of the best things I've ever put in my mouth!
Biggest college/adult related fear you have overcome at UAB?Managing time. I wasn't used to making time to study and making all of the plans. I wanted to be involved in a ton of stuff, but sometimes school comes first and you have to say no.
Describe something new you tried or did at UAB and how it made you feel.I tried boba once and it was interesting! There are lots of opportunities to branch out culturally, and that's exactly what I did!
What does UAB mean to you?UAB is like a second home for me. When I am there, I love seeing all of my friends and making new ones! There are lots of places to hang out and have a great time!
Something I am looking forward to at UAB is...I am looking forward to seeing the new engineering building (Gorrie Hall) open in a few years! I cannot wait until we have our own space!
