I am passionate about...Advocating to bring the Arts into low income communities, and continuing to advocate for more authentic representation in live theatre and film in front and behind the table!
I am interested in (affiliated student organizations/groups on campus)...UAB Dance Marathon, Student Alumni Society, Blazer Theatre Organization, Global and Community Leadership Honors College, and Orientation Leaders!
I chose UAB because...The diverse atmosphere, the genuine and intentional student body, and the urban campus!
Favorite UAB tradition? The Gurney Derby and everything Homecoming!
Favorite thing to do in Birmingham?Go out to new Bham restaurants with friends and post on my food blog!
Best class you have taken at UAB?Stage Combat!
Favorite UAB memory?I have so many but probably opening night of my first UAB MainStage show! I had so many friends from all across campus that came and supported me and it just showed how close the blazer community is!
Most surprising thing you have learned or experienced at UAB?The size of the campus is perfect because I can walk across the green and see many new faces of people I haven’t met but also 5 people I am friends with!
Best thing you've ate in Birmingham?Hardest question ever!! I would have to say Trattoria ZaZa for pasta:)
Biggest college/adult related fear you have overcome at UAB?Balancing and using my time management skills to make time for both involvement, school, and time to rest!
Describe something new you tried or did at UAB and how it made you feel.I took a stage combat class sophomore year where I got to learn how people make up realistic looking stage fights for on camera and on stage! This class pushed me out of my comfort zone and I was so proud of myself for doing it! I ended up having SO much fun!
What does UAB mean to you?UAB means genuine community that I can intentionally pour into that also pours back into me!
Something I am looking forward to at UAB is...ANOTHER YEAR OF HOMECOMING!!
