Items Needed for Endowed Chair/Professorship/Deanship Appointments:
- Board Item Agenda Item Recommendation Form (with Chair's and Dean's approval signatures)
- Dean's Letter of Recommendation (should be addressed to Provost)
- Department Chair's Letter of Recommendation (should be addressed to the appropriate dean)
- Search Committee Recommendation Letter (must include search committee members)
- Three (3) External Recommendation Letters (from peers outside UAB)
- Three (3) Internal Recommendation Letters (UAB)
- Resolution (sent electronically to Board Liaison--must be a Word document)
- Must include establishment date of the endowed chair/professorship/deanship (email Board Liaison for this information)
- Curriculum Vita (sent electronically to Board Liaison)
All materials should be sent to the Board Liaison in the Office of the President, Administration Building 1070 for approval. The Board Liaison will secure approval by the Provost and President. Once all approvals have been secured, the board submission package will be transmitted to the System office.
