The Neuroscience Day was one of many ideas that emerged from our attendance at the National Brain Bee meeting and the Society for Neuroscience Annual Conference. In conjunction with the Brain Bee, we coordinate fun, interactive neuroscience-related activities for guests in attendance. By working with the undergraduate members of the neuroscience club, the graduate neuroscience club, and general volunteers, we provide the following opportunities:
- Renowned keynote speakers
- Interactives for children that teach more about the brain, e.g., miracle berries, impaired vision bean bag toss, optical illusions, and more
- All visitors will be able to interact with anatomical models and specimens of the nervous system
- Promoting the interaction of high school students with faculty, and undergraduate/graduate students studying neuroscience
