Darwin Day 2025 featuring Keynote Speaker Frank Rosenzweig

5:30 – 6:30 p.m.: Poster Session and Reception
The Department of Biology will present a public poster session highlighting current research

6:30 – 7:30 p.m.: Keynote Lecture
Dr. Frank Rosenzweig - “Reliving the History of Life Using Experimental Evolutionary Genomics”

7 – 8 p.m.: Meet and Greet
Dr. Aktipis will meet and greet attendees.

Dr. Frank Rosenzweig is a professor of biology at Georgia Institute of Technology. He seeks to illuminate the evolution of complex traits that increase biodiversity and drive major transitions in the history of life. Rosenzweig served as Principal Investigator of the NASA Astrobiology Institute (NAI) node: Reliving the Past: Experimental Evolution of Major Transitions. He now leads the NASA Interdisciplinary Consortia for Astrobiology Research (ICAR) team: Engine of Innovation: How Compartmentalization Drives Evolution of Novelty and Efficiency Across Scales and also serves as director of the University of Montana Institute on Ecosystems.
