In Memoriam: Marjorie S. Price (1947-2024)
The University of Alabama at Birmingham’s Department of Philosophy recently lost one of its longtime faculty members when Dr. Marjorie Price passed away on May 30, 2024. Her final resting place is Temple Sholom Cemetery in Bridgewater, New Jersey.

Social work at UAB ranks top 20 percent nationally
The University of Alabama at Birmingham’s (UAB) Department of Social Work is once again ranked among the top 20 percent of programs accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). According to U.S. News and World Report, UAB has the No. 2 ranked social work program in the state of Alabama. Among all public universities nationwide, UAB’s Department of Social Work ranks No. 44.
