The Department of Biology has teamed with UAB College of Arts and Sciences, School of Medicine, and Comprehensive Center for Healthy Aging to bring you its fall Aging Symposium entitled: "The Basic Biology of Aging and The Future of Human Health.”

When: Sept. 8, 2014, 8:00 a.m. - 2:oo p.m.
Where: UAB Hospital - Highlands Medical Center, 1201 11th Ave. South

Twenty-five speakers will discuss topics on aging and human health, moderated by Dr. Steven Austad, Department of Biology, Distinguished Professor and Chair. Dr. Felipe Sierra, Director of the Division of Aging Biology at the National Institute on Aging, will deliver the keynote address entitled, "Geoscience: An Integrative View on Aging Biology and Disease."
