UAB Votes logoStudents and faculty in UAB Department of Government played a large role in last year's UAB Votes initiative. From writing blogs to staffing events to participating in the Democratic and Republican conventions, our students represented the department and helped to promote voting in local, statewide, and federal elections.

UAB Votes was created to provide faculty, students, and staff with an opportunity to participate in a series of informative, thought-provoking, and exciting happenings surrounding the 2012 presidential election. From hosting films to major speakers like Roger Newman to hosting the Daily Show's Indecision Tour 2012, UAB Votes worked to create interest in the election.

You can read blogs from our students and faculty members on the UAB Votes site about their experiences at the conventions and in the campaigns.
