2016 Regional Festivals of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF) have
awarded several prizes to students in the
Department of Theatre for their production of “SFB.” The production won Distinguished Production of a Play and Distinguished Performance and Production Ensemble.
Students Alora King and Phoebe Miller won Distinguished Performance by an Actress and Distinguished Costume Design, respectively. Student Russell Alexander was awarded Outstanding Performance by an Actor, a national award.
The play is an adaptation of Chekov’s “The Seagull.” UAB Theatre’s production ran in mid-November.
