The Alabama Space Grant Consortium, a center of the National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA) housed at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, has chosen computer science major Ryan McConn as one of their 2015 Space Grant Scholars.

The $1,000 prize was given by the organization to students “of excellent academic achievement and a promise for a scientific or technological career.” McConn is invited to participate in the NASA Alabama Space Grant Consortium convocation this fall.
