Faculty Excellence CAS News June 06, 2016

Professor of Art History Dr. Heather McPherson has been named by the College Art Association as one of seven Millard Meiss Publication Fund grantees for spring 2016.

Twice a year, the CAA awards grants through the fund to support book-length scholarly manuscripts in the history of art, visual studies, and related subjects that have been accepted by a publisher on their merits, but cannot be published in the most desirable form without a subsidy.

Dr. McPherson's book, "Art and Celebrity in the Age of Reynolds and Siddons," is scheduled to be published by Pennsylvania State University Press.

An article adapted from a chapter of the book was published in the Summer 2015 edition of Eighteenth-Century Studies, the official journal of the American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies, and won the 2016 Annibel Jenkins Prize.
