Student Achievement CAS News February 26, 2018

A group of social work students who are going to Kenya during Spring Break (March 2018) spent an evening sewing reusable napkins at Bib & Tucker. Their goal is to make 120 reusable napkins for the girls in Kenya. Lack of access to appropriate feminine hygiene items causes girls to miss months of school, and contributes to overall gender inequality. The students will provide lessons around women's health including nutrition, exercise, menstrual hygiene management, and HIV awareness.
