The Alabama Public Service Training Initiative (APSTI) was created to advance a more effective, efficient, and responsive public and nonprofit sector by leveraging University expertise to deliver research, consulting, and professional development for the nonprofit and government employees across the state.
Specifically, APSTI will deliver three signature programs that highlight the importance of public service, introduce high school and college students to leadership opportunities in public service, and provide accessible professional development opportunities for existing public servants. APSTI will also serve as a hub for faculty to generate research and conduct evaluations for the public and nonprofit sectors.
