On Thur. Dec. 14, three units in the UAB Dept. of Medicine—Endocrinology, Cardiology, and Infectious Diseases—joined CCTS and the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center as users of the OnCore clinical trials management system, which is replacing the older and no longer supported SiteMinder system. The move to OnCore presents an opportunity for “transformational change in the clinical trials process at UAB and beyond,” said CCTS Director Robert Kimberly, MD, senior associate dean for Clinical and Translational Research at UAB.
Join the CCTS in congratulating the OnCore team, including Dr. Cindy Joiner, Meredith Fitz-Gerald, Lisa Williams, Mark Marchant, John Sandefur, Geoff Gordon, and Courtney Jordon, for a masterful launch, the result of superb team work including months of painstaking effort migrating and validating study data, training super users, and, as of last week, supporting end users with a call center and hands-on training (for a complete list of the OnCore SuperUsers and Support Team, see “CCTS Thanks Its OnCore Support Team and SuperUsers.”)
