Email Monte Erwin

I am currently an Apprenticeship Supervisor for the graduate degree program for teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). I am also an instructor at INTO UAB English Language Program.

I hold a Master of Arts degree in ESL from UAB and a Master of Arts in Religious Education. I speak Latvian as a second language after spending six years in the former Soviet Republic of Latvia, where I taught English in Riga. I lived in the Carribean islands for nine years and I have taught English at Gadsden State Community College and Samford University. Besides teaching in higher education, I have also worked in the publishing world.

I love teaching English and my passion and call in life is to work cross-culturally and internationally.
