Zoom meetings have become the communication tool teachers and students use normally day-to-day and unfortunately there is a risk of being Zoom bombed. Zoom bombing is a constant threat to zoom meetings, especially when the event is being advertised on public websites. UAB eLearning has provided some effective methods to lessen the risk of your meeting/event being disturbed and important actions steps to take if you believe you have become the victim of a Zoom bomber on the Zoom Security webpage.
Zoom offers several in-meeting security capabilities that are available to the meeting host and has recently released a new feature within the security tab that will immediately suspend all participant activities, which will mute all video and audio, stop screen sharing, end all breakout rooms, and pause recording. This feature is known as “Suspend Participant Activities.”
Visit eLearning’s Zoom Security webpage for more information on how to prevent Zoom Bombings.
