Madeline Young is a recognized aviation safety professional and educator with extensive experience in safety and risk management systems, regulatory compliance, and human factors in aviation. She currently serves as an Adjunct Professor for the University of Nebraska at Omaha's Aviation Institute and a dual adjunct faculty member for the University of Alabama at Birmingham's Advanced Safety Engineering and Management (ASEM) program. She teaches courses focused on aviation safety, security, and crisis leadership, with a particular emphasis on practical applications of system safety and organizational resilience.

Madeline’s career in aviation includes her current position as the Product Manager for Polaris Aero and previous roles as a Safety Specialist and Compliance Manager at Jet Linx Aviation, where she led safety programs across a vast domestic network. Her earlier experiences with the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics, the U.S. Senate, and Fixed Base Operators have given her a well-rounded perspective on the aviation industry. At Polaris Aero, she leads the development of cutting-edge safety and risk management software for business, commercial, and military aviation sectors. Her expertise spans system safety engineering, compliance with FAA, OSHA, and ICAO regulations, and the integration of safety management systems (SMS) into operational workflows.

In addition to her industry role, Madeline is an active thought leader. She frequently presents at aviation safety events, including the Bombardier Safety Standdown, the International Business Aviation Council's SafetyNet webinar series, and various regional business aviation events. She has contributed to developing training programs such as the Safety Manager Certificate through the National Business Aviation Association and the forthcoming Flight Operations Quality Assurance program at Advanced Aircrew Academy.

Madeline's academic background is complemented by her dedication to education, her commitment to mentoring the next generation of safety professionals, and her professional certifications, which are accompanied by years of practical experience in aviation operations, safety auditing, and human performance. Her research and teaching focus on applying innovative safety strategies to enhance organizational resilience and operational efficiency. She resides in Lincoln, Nebraska, where she continues to contribute to the aviation community through her teaching, research, and leadership activities.
