Our organization first got its start supporting crystallographers and scientists performing NASA protein crystal growth (PCG) research in microgravity. Our currently available systems for supporting protein crystal growth experiments include HDCPG, HHDCPG, and PCF hardware. Our capabilities extend beyond our custom-built hardware into the commercial sector. EITD is a long-standing implementation partner within the ISS community, making us the best at taking science from ground to flight.
COTS PCG Hardware
EITD offers a unique service of certifying Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) hardware for flight, which allows for simple transitions from ground based experiments to flight.
This means that we can take items such as 96 well plates, multichannel pipettes, vials, and other items straight off the shelf and certify them for specific temperature rances and ensure compatibility with Launch and on Orbit Cold Stowage Facilities. Current off the shelf items are compatible with ISS Bioserve Microscope image colletions.
