We offer opportunities for traditional and non-traditional students, on campus and online, and no GRE is required for admission.
Be Part of an Economic Engine
UAB is the economic engine that drives the state of Alabama—and the School of Engineering is a big part of that.
Much of UAB’s economic impact is generated by technology transfer—turning research discoveries into marketplace-ready products. Many successful companies, such as Vista Engineering, Biohorizons, and others, were born as startup companies created by UAB graduates and former faculty members before they grew to become employers for dozens of School of Engineering alumni and current students.
Industries from all over Birmingham—as well as some international companies—partner with UAB engineers and facilities to develop the products that are transforming modern manufacturing processes.
