Zachary Newman is a biomedical engineering student who is currently working as an intern at the Materials Processing and Applications Development (MPAD) research facility. A native of Norcross, Georgia, he currently resides at a UAB resident hall where he serves as an RA.

When our new Dean of Engineering, Jeff Holmes, M.D., Ph.D., first arrived on campus, we asked him Five Questions about UAB, Birmingham, and himself. Recently, Holmes started posing his own "Five Questions" to our UAB Engineering students. In the clips below, BME student Zachary Newman answers questions about his experience as a UAB student. Then he turns the interview around with a few questions of his own for the new dean.
