"Over the past 10 years, I have worked in a myriad of industries including healthcare, corporate, and government sector and Gaines experience in a variety of technical roles ranging from help desk operator to network administrator. I currently serve as the Information Technology Manager at the Personnel Board of Jefferson County (PBJC). My primary focus is to promote and foster value creation through technology, which requires the alignment of the organization's technology needs with its business strategies."

"I chose the UAB IEM graduate program because of the variety of courses offered help me develop skills to enhance my career and professional growth. The courses have been centered around analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. As a result of IEM I hope to move into a senior level role in Information Technology focusing more on management and leadership.
